SINGULAR SENSATION

I remember seeing "A Chorus Line" at The Shubert Theatre in Century City in 1975.  The triumphant finale in front of a stage filled with mirrors as the dancers all in golden ensembles singing "One" with their gilt hats proudly held in the air is an image deeply embedded in my memory.  It combined theatre, fashion, music, dance, design...  That set actually influenced all the mirrors within the Decades boutique in Los Angeles.  As a former singer, I think I spent many a childhood night singing along to the LP of Marvin Hamlisch's Tony and Pulitzer winning score.  Hamlisch passed away yesterday at only 68 and I wanted to give him a shout out.  Not only was he an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony winner), his music really is the soundtrack of so many of our lives.  So throw on this Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche leather jacket and belt out "What I did for Love" or "The Way We Were" and just thank this great man for the music.
