MIDNIGHT IN PARIS

"Having been born in Paris, I remember: the twentieth century came in as fresh as paint and by 1909 had started to roll. Everyone was gay, elegant and completely tuned in to the new century. Paris was intoxicated with its new art, new music, new literature, entirely new way of life, and, of course, with its new clothes". No one could have said it better than Diana Vreeland.
Unfortunately I was not born in the 30's in Paris, a fact that completely devastates me, but I find a certain consolation with books, movies and clothes from that era....like this sublime beaded bolero jacket from 1930's. It's anonymous designer status just adds more to the mystique of this piece. It is heavy and hugs your shoulders nicely, the glass beads are hand sewn to create a tubular effect. It is fully lined and in perfect condition. Extremely modern looking and with many uses for day or night, with jeans or a pencil skirt, use your imagination, at the end of the day that is the only reality that matters...and a piece of clothing that makes you dream.
