GET TEMPTED

So many amazing things have been coming into the store lately that we are so indulged in beautiful temptations for you. If you have visited us on Melrose Avenue, you may have noticed the epic collection of late 70s and early 80s Yves Saint Laurent Haute Couture that we are currently documenting. It comes from one fabulous Madame X! Then, all the boys fought over a box of men's Chanel that arrived yesterday -- I was a little distracted. Later this week, the major Hermes collection will arrive that we will announce shortly (around 100 bags, plus Kazuko jewelry, Galanos gowns, Norell mermaids, divine Mexican hostess gowns, extraordinary peignoirs) from the collection of one of the legendary NY Best Dressed women of the 1960s and 1970s. However, reality is reality and Fall is around the corner. Your big book September fashion glossies have arrived, the stores are calling you to come see the new collections, and we may be roasting in LA, but the true fashion lover is getting ready to change over her closet and get her coats in order.

And do we have a coat for you! An Yves Saint Laurent snakeskin trench coat. YSL famously made the trench coat a fashionable staple in a woman's 20th Century wardrobe. It's a Decades 101 requirement. But a trench in snakeskin takes it to an entirely new decadent level. Now the stock market may be going in and out of fashion daily with it's yo-yo closings each afternoon, but the trench is always bullish in my book. The trench in python is quite a temptation. And when designed by Yves Saint Laurent, it just may leave you insatiable! I have a few snakeskin coats in my collection. I have a great men's Galliano that resembles the YSL below. I also have a gorgeous cream python S.T. Dupont trench and Ennio Capasa made me a one-of-a-kind Costume National olive python zip up that I absolutely treasure. They are keepers. Get with the program. Get Tempted!
